History of Dr. Gokaraju Liala Gangaaraju ACA Cricket Ground
The Mulapadu complex was inaugurated on 30 May 2016, with the Krishna District Cricket Association owning the venue and the Andhra Cricket Association exercising jurisdiction. It was developed as two adjacent grounds rather than one large stadium. The southern field is named Chukkapalli Pitchaiah Ground and the northern field Devineni Venkata Ramana–Praneetha Ground.
The grounds were formally inaugurated on 10 November 2016, the day India Women and West Indies Women played the first international there. The six-match visit comprised three ODIs from 10 to 16 November and three T20Is from 18 to 22 November. The series is the ground’s only international programme.
The venue is still included in the Andhra Cricket Association’s grounds directory under the Dr. Gokaraju Liala Gangaaraju name. International cricket stopped after the 22 November 2016 T20I.
