History of BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground
The facility was inaugurated in Bengaluru on 29 September 2024 and given the name BCCI Centre of Excellence. It replaced the National Cricket Academy's earlier base at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which had operated from there since the academy was established in 2000. The new campus covers more than 40 acres near Kempegowda International Airport.
The cricket complex contains three grounds. Ground A is the principal match ground, with an 85-yard boundary, 13 Mumbai red-soil pitches, floodlights and broadcast infrastructure. Grounds B and C have 75-yard boundaries and are configured mainly for training, with Mandya soil and Kalahandi black-cotton-soil pitches. The wider site also includes indoor cricket, outdoor nets, fielding areas and sports-science and medical facilities.
The grounds began appearing in official BCCI match records during the 2025 India Men's Under-19 Tri-Series. The venue remains a controlled high-performance campus: the BCCI said government restrictions do not permit crowds on the site, although more matches may be televised. It has no recorded men's or women's international match in the material checked through 11 October 2026.
