History of Tau Devi Lal Stadium

The complex opened in 2000 and includes the Tau Devi Lal Cricket Ground alongside a football stadium and practice facilities. The cricket venue is on Sohna Road in Sector 38, near Medicity. GMDA's booking page lists the site as a multi-use sports complex with floodlights, public courts and bookable cricket and football fields. Haryana is identified as an occasional home team, while the stadium also serves wider sports events.

Its international cricket record consists of one women's ODI, played on 12 March 2004 between India Women and West Indies Women. The ground later hosted domestic cricket and matches in the Indian Cricket League in 2008. A 2018 report said the last first-class match had been played in 2005, that the pitches were damaged, and that the Haryana Cricket Association did not control the venue. Those conditions, and the absence of further internationals, explain its former-international status.
