History of Dhruve Pandove Stadium
The ground is listed as established in 1926 and is among Punjab's older cricket venues. It was previously known as Rajendra Gymkhana Club and Baradari Ground. The Punjab Cricket Association is identified as both owner and operator in the venue record. The ground is in Baradari, Patiala, near the city's historic Baradari Gardens area.
The venue returned to the Ranji Trophy calendar in December 2014 when Punjab played Haryana, ending a 17-year gap since its previous Ranji match there. It has also been used for Punjab's domestic fixtures, including a Punjab-Andhra Ranji Trophy match in February 2020. Despite its facilities, the association said the ground's smaller playing area did not meet the requirements for an international match, so it remains a domestic venue.
