History of Barkatullah Khan Stadium
The stadium was established in 1986 and is named after Barkatullah Khan, a former chief minister of Rajasthan. It is owned by the Rajasthan Cricket Association and is located in the Pal Road–Shastri Nagar area of Jodhpur. Its listed ends are the Cox Cutir End and the Residency Road End.
Jodhpur's international window was brief. India played Zimbabwe here on 8 December 2000, when Zimbabwe won by one wicket, and India met the West Indies on 21 November 2002, winning by three wickets. The ground then saw limited high-level use for many years, which is why it is classified as a former international venue.
The Rajasthan Cricket Association refurbished the venue in the early 2020s, adding upgraded facilities and seating. Cricket returned with four Legends League Cricket matches in September and October 2022, followed by Rajasthan's Ranji Trophy fixtures against Chhattisgarh and Services in January 2023. ESPNcricinfo also records a Rajasthan–Maharashtra first-class match here in January 2024.
